From the garden, the entrance leads into the kitchen/dining room; the kitchen has fitted cupboards, gas hob, oven, small dishwasher and
fridge and has a dining table, sofa, TV and radio/CD player.
Leading from this there is a bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room. A twin bedded room and another bathroom complete this apartment.
Since it is all on one level, it would be suitable for disabled people although the doors to bathrooms would not be wide enough for a wheel
chair.
Directly outside there is a grassed area and a pergola is on a higher level reached by a few steps.
'Geranium'
First floor apartment, sleeps 4.
Approached via the outside staircase the entrance leads to a kitchen/dining room with cupboards, gas hob, oven, small dishwasher and
fridge and has a dining table, sofa, TV and radio/CD player.
There is a bedroom with double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. The bathroom has a shower.
'Poppy'
First floor sleeps 3.
Kitchen/dining room with cupboards, gas hob, oven, small dishwasher and fridge. The 2 bedrooms comprise of one with double bed and the
other with a large single. It would be possible to add a folding bed to accommodate an extra person. There is a bathroom with shower.
Between the house and the pool, another small building houses an extra large room where guests of the whole house could eat together, or
use as a quiet, cool retreat for reading or listening to music. The laundry room and storage for garden furniture, plus another bathroom is
also in this building – convenient for use from the pool.
Outside
Swimming pool 12x6 metres.
The pool is situated a few metres from the house and enjoys wonderful views over the valley. There are plants and shrubs with a bank of
lavender to the right of the pool and the built in barbecue is nearby. There are plenty of outside lights making it possible to dine 'al
fresco' or even swim at night.
This house has been sympathetically restored using traditional materials with terracotta floors throughout and every effort has been made
to provide a comfortable, pleasant home for your holiday. It is in a beautiful secluded position with spectacular views, but is approached
by a good tarmac road and is only a 10 minute drive from the town of Umbertide where supermarkets, shops, and many restaurants can be found.
It is a good base for guests who wish to visit such places of interest as Assissi, Siena, Gubbio, Arezzo and the renowned wine growing areas
of Orvieto and Montepulchiano.
A private railway line goes from Umbertide southwards to Perugia, the county town of Umbria, and northwards to Citta di Castello and
Sansepolcro (the home of the Piero della Francesca paintings). It is a fun way to travel and very inexpensive.
The owners will prepare the house for your arrival – linen and towels are provided weekly but please bring your own pool towels.
There is an English couple (Marianne & Andrew) who can advise and give local information regarding shopping, restaurants and 'festivals'.
