Casa Vitiano
Restored in typical Umbrian style retaining many original features with chestnut beams and flagstone floors, this stone farmhouse is half hour from Cortona, secluded but within walking distance of the the village of San Leo Bastia (on the Tuscan/Umbrian border between Cortona and Trestina) which has two bars each with general store attached.
Accommodation
The house sleeps 7 in three bedrooms and has three bathrooms. The kitchen/diner has a huge inglenook fireplace, stone sink and modern stainless cooker with oven.There is a well equipped utility room with washing machine and all neccessary equipment for laundry.
Outdoors
The large garden is a major feature of this property, with a large new pool and ample stone paving for sun beds. There are many mature trees and lawns with gazebo and umbrellas for relaxing in the shade. The owners keep a well-maintained kitchen garden with salads, vegetables and herbs for guests' use. The area is secure with original bread oven and barbecue, covered space for dining and therefore is particularly suitable for families with children.
Local Area
Many historic cities such as Cortona, Assisi, Siena etc. are within easy reach by car, and Lake Trasimeno has several beaches and two islands to visit by ferry.
