Casa Corgiano
Casa Corgiano is a very large stone farmhouse in Umbria between Cortona and Perugia.It has been beautifully restored to a very high standard and although in an elevated position is reached by a good tarmac road.
Accommodation
The accommodation is a completely self contained large portion of the house. Incorporating the central tower and sleeps eight with three bathrooms, two kitchens and spacious sitting room with traditional stone fireplace.
Outdoors
Very large garden with garden furniture. The owners of the local Albergo will prepare delicious meals to order.
Local Area
San Leo Bastia is the nearest village (about 10 minutes drive - 4km) and has two bars each with a general store attached and a small evening restaurant. The journey to the village can be walked but the return trip is not for the faint hearted as Casa Corgiano sits at a very steep 800m above sea level!
The historic cities of Assisi, Siena, Orvieto and many others are within easy reach, as are the famous wine districts of Montepulciano and Chianti.
Lake Trasimeno is a good place to swim with several beaches and the two islands can be reached by ferry. This beautiful house is owned by local Italians, but an English couple are on call to offer advice and local knowledge.
