Marianne & Andrew Newell have lived in Italy on the border between Tuscany and Umbria since 1990. They went to live there by chance and restored their 'ruin' gradually, using local builders and traditional materials. When complete, it became obvious that there was more space than needed. Marianne & Andrew decided to let the ground floor as a self-contained apartment. Soon several friends, family and local Italians asked them to manage their properties too and Amici Villas was born.

Marianne and Andrew - often above-and-beyond the call of duty - monitor the houses, meet guests, are on-site to offer further advice, help and answer any questions the guests may have. Thus making your stay in Italy a pleasant, worry-free and enjoyable experience.

Their daughter Michèle and son-in-law Paul share Marianne and Andrew's enthusiasm and love for Italy and the Italian people. They visit the area every year from England and manage the website, take bookings and offer advice and assistance based on their knowledge.
